Travel Tuesday: US Open and Fashion Week in NYC

New York is the city of dreams. Last week was the US Open, and Fashion Week, and I was lucky enough to be there. American Express and Glam Media flew a select number of bloggers to (me included) to New York City to experience the US Open Ladies Finals in the eyes of American Express, but first they sent us American Express gift cards to purchase an outfit to wear at the US Open. How cool is that? I got this black lace top and skinny jeans from Bebe (see below).
We stayed at the to stay at the Dream Hotel in Midtown. Dream was the perfect name for this cool hotel, well known for it’s amazing rooftop bar and fabulous lobby fish tank.
All of the bloggers met for lunch on saturday at Smith Uptown for appetizers, food galore and making new friends. The weather was a bit skeptical (they were calling for tornadoes), so we awaited word on the postponement US Open Ladies match. I loved this photo (below) as you walk in the restaurant.
Since the US Open was postponed to the next day, we did the next bet thing and headed to Fashion Week to sit in the American Express Skybox and see Monique Lhuillier and Vlov. It was amazing! Here’s a behind the scene look.
I had to fly out early on Sunday, so unfortunately I didn’t get to see the ladies final match. I was disappointed, of course, but so glad to get this opportunity. Thank you to Glam Media and American Express for your wonderful hospitality!
