My daughter, Leigh, has been begging me to make a Peach Pie with her, so we used store-bought pie crusts to make this Easy Peach Pie. She even made this lattice crust for the pie by herself, and I was impressed what a great job she did. We are so fortunate to live in Alabama where we get to savor Chilton County Peaches. These are some of the best southern peaches you can buy, and and they have been sold and grown since 1976. I grew up eating these fabulous summer fruits, a true summer southern tradition. This Easy Peach Pie is as good as it is simple so enjoy while peaches are at their peak. Easy Peach Pie

Prep:
20 minutes
Cook:
45 minutes
Yield:
8 to 10 servings
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 Double crust pie crust (I used Pillsbury)
10 fresh peaches, pitted and sliced
1. Combine flour, sugar and butter into in a large bowl until it resembles a crumble mixture.
2. Place one crust in the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Line the shell with a layer of sliced peaches. Sprinkle 1/4 of the crumb mixture and another layer of peaches. Continue layering with the crumb mixture and peaches until all ingredients are gone. Top with lattice strips from the remaining pie crust.
3. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes, or until crust is golden. Let cool before slicing.
