Home2 Suites by Hilton for Tuesday Travel in Charleston

July 31, 2012

I have a travel tip. Have you heard of Home2 Suites by Hilton? I have been telling friends about a hip, cool new hotel that I stayed in Charleston a few weeks ago. Check out a great place to hang out (above). Home2 Suites by Hilton is a new mid-tier, all suite, extended stay hotel chain that launched in 2009. It’s one of the first new brands introduced by Hilton Worldwide in 20 years. They are developing new hotels in the U.S, Mexico and Canada, but they currently have hotels in Nashville, TN, Charleston, SC, Baltimore, MD, San Antonio, TX and more. So what’s so great about it?

-Suites provide separate living and bedrooms pace and a flexible working and media space. I am obsessed with the desk chair and still hoping to order one.

-They fully accessorized kitchen includes place settings for 6 and a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. I love the European touch and all of the “green” themes.

-The Oasis is an expanded community spot that provides room for individual work as well as social gathering.

A combined laundry and fitness area, Spin2 Cycle, allow for multitasking: working out while you do your laundry. What a clever idea. I would totally use this!

The “Inspired Table” (below) is a great setting to eat breakfast and work at the same time with chargers readily available on the table. All containers in the breakfast area are made of recycled glass and renewable bamboo. Also, healthy breakfast options are offered.

I loved the feel of the Home2 in Charleston, and I look forward to checking out others too. If you haven’t been to Charleston, you must go. Its beauty, character, food and people make it an incredibly romantic or family getaway destination.
