Passover S’mores

April 01, 2012

Passover is coming up this week, and I know so many are always looking for new, fun recipe ideas, especially to please the kids. I made these Passover S’mores a few years ago, and they have become a Passover staple for my three children. Who doesn’t love s’mores? Just use regular sizes matzo and break it into pieces, or use the new mini matzo that is so popular this year instead of graham crackers, and you’ll have some happy kids (and adults).

Passover Smores

Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 2 minutes
Yield: 4 to servings
Ingredients
8 slices mini matzo or 4 slices regular size matzo
3 chocolate bars
1 cup large-size marshmallows
Preparation
1. Place chocolate bars and marshmallows in between small squares of matzo. Place on a baking pan and broil 3 minutes or until chocolate is melted and marshmallow and matzo is golden brown

This is such a fun idea, Alison. Even though we don't celebrate Passover, I may make this for my kids.

I guess it depends on where you live. Check your local supermarket, you may find a small kosher section.

sounds yummy. But unfortunately unless special Passover marshmallows are used which I hate because it always says something about fish gelatin, regular marshmallows have corn syrup in it and you're not supposed to have any kind of corn during Passover.

Where did you find jumbo Kosher for Passover marshmallow? I only ever seem to find the oddly colorful spirals. If the regular marshmallows weren't made with pig gelatin it wouldn't be so bad.

I have seen the marshmallows at http://www.ohnuts.com and http://www.aviglatt.com/Marshmallows-For-Passover-Dept/373/, but they used to carry them at our grocery stores around town
